This house preaches the whole truth, and part of the whole truth is this: the adversary is real, his servants move, and nobody here will pretend otherwise to keep the room comfortable. But this page is not written to frighten you. It is written the way a watchman blows a trumpet — clear, once — and then it points at the door that stands open. Read the warning. Then read how completely they are beaten.
The Bible does not introduce the devil as a symbol or a metaphor. It introduces an adversary — a real enemy of real souls, prowling for someone to devour. The first act of wisdom is to stop calling real things imaginary.
“Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour:”
— 1 Peter 5:8 · King James Version
Demons do not kick down walls in a life where the doors are shut. They use doors people open:
Sin left unrepented — a door held open on purpose. The occult — tarot, séances, charms, 'harmless' games that are not harmless: anything that asks the darkness for knowledge or power. Drugs — a surrendered mind is a house with its keys handed over. Unbelief — refusing the One who guards the house.
And the subtlest door of all: a life emptied but never filled — cleaned up, swept, and left vacant. That door is the subject of the next section, in the Lord's own teaching.
In Mark chapter 5, Jesus meets a man possessed not by one demon but by a legion — thousands in one body, driving him among the tombs, and no chain could hold him. Notice what the demons beg for: not freedom — another body. They plead to be sent into the herd of swine nearby. Demons seek a body to inhabit; that is their nature, stated plainly in the text.
And notice the end of it: at the word of Jesus, they left. All of them. The man was found sitting, clothed, and in his right mind — the legion that terrified a whole region folded at one sentence from the Son of God.
Jesus Himself taught the second half of this warning. A spirit cast out wanders restless — and then it comes back to check the house it left. If it finds that house empty — swept, decorated, and unoccupied — it brings seven others worse than itself, and the last state of that person is worse than the first.
“When the unclean spirit is gone out of a man, he walketh through dry places, seeking rest; and finding none, he saith, I will return unto my house whence I came out. And when he cometh, he findeth it swept and garnished. Then goeth he, and taketh to him seven other spirits more wicked than himself; and they enter in, and dwell there: and the last state of that man is worse than the first.”
— Luke 11:24-26 · King James Version
This is body-jumping, taught by Jesus and not invented by this house: what is cast out looks for somewhere to land — another body, or the same one, if the same one stands empty. The defense is therefore not only eviction. The defense is occupation: a house filled by the Holy Spirit.
That is why this house does not fight people. People are the prize this war is fought over — not the enemy in it. The enemy is older, darker, and organized, and he is fought with spiritual weapons: truth, prayer, the name of Jesus, and a life submitted to God.
“For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.”
— Ephesians 6:12 · King James Version
The order in this verse matters. Submit yourselves to God — first. A life handed over to God is a house with its Owner in residence. Then resist the devil — standing in that submission, not in your own strength. And the promise is not 'he might leave.' The promise is: he will flee from you.
“Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.”
— James 4:7 · King James Version
Here is the whole counter, the one this house preaches: the name of Jesus, before whom every knee bows — in heaven, on earth, and under the earth. A life submitted to God, door by door, sin by sin, shut and surrendered. And a house FILLED with the Holy Spirit — not swept and vacant, but occupied, lit, and lived in.
So don't just get clean. Get filled. An emptied house is an invitation. A filled house is a fortress.
This page exists because the people of this house love you too much to leave a hole in the fence unmentioned. A warning is not terror. Terror is what the fear market sells; a warning is what a watchman owes the street he walks.
You have nothing to fear from this page — and nothing to fear at all, if your house is His. The door of this church stands open, and its one requirement is love for God and knowing that Jesus is the true Saviour. Come and be filled: The Church · Sermons.
This page states the doctrine of this house, from the words of its founder, Steven Jesse, spoken on November 1, 2026: Satan and demons are real; a demon cast out can move to another body; people open doors through sin, the occult, drugs, and unbelief; and the defense is Jesus Christ, His name, and a life submitted to God, filled with the Holy Spirit. It is this house's belief, labeled as belief.
Verses are quoted verbatim from the King James Version, a published translation in the public domain (1 Peter 5:8 · Luke 11:24-26 · Ephesians 6:12 · James 4:7; the Legion account is told from Mark 5:1-13). Every language edition of this page quotes its own published translation under the same discipline.
